Jack Hertz is a San Francisco based synthesizer musician. Jack's music transports listeners into alien narratives that evoke space exploration themes such as assessing a barren planet, drifting through fields of ateroids, extra-terrestrial atmospherics, and gently docking at a deep-space station. This selection of audio works is comprised of previously unreleased recordings, spanning 1988-1992. Jack has a long history of experimental audio synthesis recording and performance in the bay area and his contemporary recordings are produced with modular hardware and software and take the form of abstract soundscapes. His vintage recordings are similar in mood but express different instrumentation and, therefore, composition.
